The tug-of-war between Achuthanandan and Vijayan took a serious turn after their comments in the media taking potshots at each other.
Vijayan is unhappy that Achuthanandan is being made out to be after the 'Save Munnar' drive.
Vijayan says, a media syndicate, as he calls it, is working to build up the image of Achuthanandan.
Chief Minister Achuthanandan said, ''those who are criticizing as media syndicate are themselves depending on the syndicate to leak the decisions of LDF meetings and this leads to controversy''.
Political sources say growing differences between Achuthanandan and Vijayan have affected the decision making process of the Kerala government.
