The New York Times > Technology > Circuits: "A new service called Amplify (amplify.com) allows users to take text, graphics, video clips and other media from a variety of Web sites and then easily assemble that information into one new page that displays and provides links to all of the underlying information at once. The page can then be shared with others.
The Amplify toolbar includes a search pane. More important, the toolbar allows users to highlight text, graphics, movies or other elements from Web pages and click on Add to Amp. Each Amp can include up to 25 frames and up to 100 kilobytes of text. Because graphics and other big media files are only linked at their home site (and not stored on Amplify's servers), they do not count against the limit. An Amp is available from any computer, not just the PC it was created on."
