Seer "confessed to his involvement in murder", HC told

The Hindu News Update Service: "The Tamil Nadu Government today informed the Madras High Court that Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi 'broke down' during interrogation and 'confessed to his involvement' in the murder of the temple official, Sankararaman. Appearing on behalf of the prosecution, Senior counsel from Delhi, K T S Tulsi informed the court that the 'Kancheepuram Sankaracharya had broken down and confessed to his involvement.'

Opposing the Seer's bail application, the second one filed by him in the Sankararaman murder case, Tulsi said that in the interrogation, which has been videographed, 'he seems to be now realising that it was a mistake.' Arguments on the bail application before Justice R Balasubramaniam will continue tomorrow in the Madras High Court. "
