The Indian Express: Firingline
The Indian Express: Firingline: "Mohd Yasin Malik pioneered urban militancy in Kashmir, with the high point of his militant years being the kidnapping of the daughter of then Union home minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed. Having re-crafted JKLF as a political outfit, Malik is equidistant from both the Hurriyat doves and hawks and his is the only outfit that seeks reunification of both the halves of Kashmir and creation of a sovereign state. Malik also seeks involvement of Kashmiris as a party to the dispute. With Pakistan refusing to commit itself on the matter, recently Malik snubbed Pak premier Shaukat Aziz, who was on a trip to India. Ask him about the future of Indo-Pak talks, the problems and the chances for peace at firingline@expressindia.com "
