Music India OnLine: "Eminent musician, Thanjavur V Sankara Iyer would be conferred with the title 'Sangeeth Samrat' tomorrow, the opening day of five-day pongal music festival, being organised by the local chapter of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan here. This year's music festival is dedicated to Bharat Rathna, M S Subbulakshmi and well known musician, Sudha Raghunathan would sing most of the popular songs of Subbulakshmi on Jan 15 the release said.
There would be recitals on all the five days, including a mandolin duet by U Shrinivas and U Rajesh and party on the inaugural day, it added. "
