Bollywood Baatein

LokVani-LokVani:
"SINS
According to the latest news, producer-director Vinod Pande has decided to go ahead with the release of his controversial film "Sins" despite a ban called by Catholic groups and a refusal by satellite channels to air the film's promos. "Sins" is supposedly the story of a Catholic priest who slips and commits a crime of passion with a young girl.

While Catholic organisations have raised strong protests, questioning the film's portrayal of the priest, satellite channels have refused to show the "sexually explicit" promos of the film branding them fit only for adult viewing.

I Dream of Jeannie & 'MIstress Of spices'
Even as Gurinder is busy helping with the shooting of her husband Paul Mayeda Berges's 'MIstress Of spices' starring Ash Rai and Dylan McDermott, she is also planning her first Hollywood film. Hollywood starlet Kate Hudson will play the protagonist in Chadha ’s Hollywood film, a cinematic version of the famous American television series ‘I Dream of Jeannie’, which is about a suburban witch named Jeannie.

'The Stranger' Sivan
Another Sivan makes waves in Bollywood. Grapevine indicates that Santhosh (ace cameraman/director) and Sangeeth (ace director) will be joined in the Bollywood industry by the younger brother Sanjeev Sivan who will direct Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan in a Hindi film titled 'The Stranger'. 'Stranger' is the remake of a Malayalam film that starred Mammooty and enjoyed mixed reviews. Apparently, some changes have been made but the theme is that of the original film. The film is slated to release next year.

Vijay Raaz !
One of our favorite actors, Vijay Raaz landed in very hot soup last fortnight. Raaz was detained at Dubai airport on the morning of February 13 where he had gone there to shoot for movie "Deewane Hue Paagal" for allegedly possessing drugs. Raaz was released by UAE authorities on Tuesday night, nine days after he was detained at Dubai airport on February 13 and arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday morning. Raaz is known for his role in movies like national award winning 'Raghu Romeo' and Mira Nair's 'Monsoon Wedding', 'Jungle' and Satya.

More Deol
For all you gals out there who were pining for another Deol to hit the screens, we bear good news! Yet another handsome Deol is to make his debut next week. Abhay Deol, cousin of Sunny and Bobby Deol, will be seen in 'Socha Na Tha' with Ayesha Takia."
