'Little Terrorist' set for theatrical release

NDTV: "India's only remaining entry at the Oscars is a short film The Terrorist. The film is about a Pakistani boy who mistakenly crosses the border and finds an unlikely ally in a Hindu schoolteacher. After being nominated for the best short film at the Oscars, Shringar Films have chosen to distribute the 15-minute film, which will release on February 18, in different parts of the country.

This is the first time in Indian cinema that a short film will get a theatrical release. The film has won various awards at international film festivals like The Montreal world and Manhattan Film festivals, and the director, Ashvin Kumar is hoping to get a good response at the Oscars as well. But for now Ashvin is basking in the corporate backing that his film enjoys."
