Sponsors queue up for Sania

Tennis: "Just ten days after becoming the first Indian to enter the third round of the Australian Open, Sania has been flooded with as many as 21 endorsement offers. Three of them came on just one day - Wednesday. But most of the firms are likely to be disappointed, as Sania has chosen to do only two of them. One of them is likely to be a sport company brand. 'We are already commercially well-covered to handle all her costs this year. We really do not need additional money so we can afford to be very selective,'' says Anirban Das Blah, Vice President, Globosport.

Sania, who is now ranked 132 in the world, however would choose not to let the tag of a Rs 8-crore worth sport personality get to her. She is concentrating on the Hyderabad WTA Open that begins Monday. She has begun practising on the court now that her ankle is not giving her too much trouble."
