Two school principals arrested for raping student

Newindpress.com: "The principal of a government school and the vice-principal of another joined two other men to allegedly rape a 16-year-old school dropout in the Badli area of northwest Delhi on February 12. The girl was studying in private and taking tuitions from the principal. All four were arrested on Thursday after the family of the girl registered a complaint.

The accused have been identified as Om Prakash Sharma, 58, who is principal of Government Middle School, Raghubir Nagar. Sharma has four grandchildren. Ved Prakash Sharma, 52, is the vice-principal of Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya in West Patel Nagar. He is the father of four daughters. Om Prakash Sharma, 48, runs a gas burner manufacturing unit and has two sons and two daughters. Jagdish Kaleramna, 38, has three daughters and a six-year-old son. He too runs a gas burner manufacturing unit and had booked a room at the Haryana PWD rest house where the girl had been taken.

The victim, the police said, had dropped out of a government school in Sagarpur, Janakpuri, in 2002 and was studying for her Class X privately. She was taking tuitions from Om Prakash. On February 12, Om Prakash, alleged the police, told the girl that a friend of his, who he claimed was a principal at a Rohini school, could arrange a matriculation certificate for her."
