* Try to avoid using a tag or attribute if it is incompatible with more than 10% of your audience.
* Use the Browser Types Calculator to enter your site's browser statistics. This may change both the number of visitors affected each problem and your page's rating.
* Keep the two most recent versions of each major browser on your computer. View your page using each browser.
Load Time Test Recommendations
* Try to reduce the number of servers you connect to. Each connection adds about 2 seconds to your download time.
* The images marked in red are very large. Click on their file size to see if they can be reduced.
* Adding HEIGHT and WIDTH attributes to your images will help browsers display your page sooner.
* Adding WIDTH attributes to your TABLE tags will help browsers display your page sooner.
* Your page's overall rating was lowered one level because of HTML problems.
* Reduce some of your images to get our highest rating.
Understanding Your Results
Page load time depends on:
* The size of your HTML file and any frames it references.
* The number and size of your images.
* Use of HEIGHT and WIDTH attributes with your IMG and TABLE tags.
* The number of servers that must be contacted to download files and images.
* The speed of the user's modem.
* It's a good idea to keep your page load times under about 12 seconds on a 28.8 modem.
