China backs India on Security Council seat
NDTV: "Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has backed India's demand for a permanent seat at the UN Security council. The two leaders held talks in the Capital on a host of bilateral issues today. They have agreed to establish an India-China Strategic and Cooperative Partnership for Peace and Prosperity. India and China have also signed an agreement on the political parameters and guiding principles to settle the boundary issue once and for all. A protocol has also been agreed upon which will improve confidence building measures along the 3,500 kilometre boundary. The Chinese leader also spoke about a five-year plan for comprehensive cooperation in economy and trade to promote bilateral ties. "
