Music India OnLine: "Those who saw the trailer of the film ‘Anniyan’ were left flabbergasted. The film had raised the level of Tamil film world, they were found quoting often. And the producer is getting ready to get the returns of the film, whatever it is.
There has been a huge competition/confrontation among the distributors to buy this film. But the distribution rights of TN, Kerala and Karnataka has been retained by Ravichandran.
The foreign countries trading rights has not been given to anyone and the same distributor will be releasing it worldwide.
As far as the songs of the film are concerned, the song ‘Randakka Randakka’ was being replaced by ‘Laka Laka Laka’ by the fans. Some of them are of the opinion that the music would have been different if AR Rehman had scored for the film.
The film is slated to be released on May 22 in threatres. There is a strong belief that this particular film will make people at all India level to talk about the increased level of quality of Tamil films. "
