NDTV: "Sania Mirza has risen to the 34th spot in the latest WTA world rankings. The Hyderabad Hurricane is currently in Indonesia for a tournament. She has had a remarkable year, jumping 135 places from her 169th rank at the start of the season.
Though she lost to Maria Sharapova in the 4th round of the US Open, Sania has shown that she's capable of beating the best. Her most notable scalps include top-10 players Svetlana Kuznetsova and Nadia Petrova. "
