Nikon Small World - Photomicrography Competition: "2005 Winning Images Unveiled
at Reception in New York CityOn October 6, 2005, the winners of the 2005 Small World Photomicrography Competition were recognized at a twilight reception held at the Hudson Theatre in New York's Times Square. The top three images included a stunning detail of a muscoid fly by Charles B. Krebs, a quantum dot fluorescence image of mouse kidney section (Thomas Deerinck) and crystallized vitamin A (Stefan Eberhard).
Small World is regarded as the leading forum for showcasing the beauty and complexity of life as seen through the light microscope. For over 30 years, Nikon has rewarded the world's best photomicrographers who make critically important scientific contributions to life sciences, bio-research and materials science."
