robhyndman.com » Blog Archive » The mesh Sessions: Can Blogs Influence Politics?: "American political blogs have practically become mainstream. But in Canada, this phenomenon is still nascent. Do blogs affect politics??
Why not??
Its the people who vote and pay taxes. When they are able to raise voices in programs such as CNN and Foxnews, why not blogs. It really helps the media and viewers to get an idea of what is going in the capital and congress.
In Canada I have never seen an aggressive TV channel who brings out potential information. I am not against the TV. What I mean to say is, most of the Canadians end up watching CNN and other american channels. Tell me if you have one strong channel other than CBC. Hope the cable doesn't charge now more when canada opens a news channel such as CNN.ca. Blogs canada itself is temporarily closed as they are under maintenance. But how long??
We are proud to be good samaritarians rather show our aggressive nature like our neighbor americans.
Why didn't such talented people pop out during elctions?
Well, may be I am less informative than you guys out ther.

not in India I am sure. Most people think blogging as a waste of time. People do not even spend time to get updated. They prefer to sit infront of the Tvs and watch all the third rate tele serials.

To delphine,
Instead of using third rated, you can say as , cheap/negative serials. The language you have used is more of slang and not good in forum.
