`Imayam' TV channel to be launched

The Hindu : Tamil Nadu / Chennai News : `Imayam' TV channel to be launched: "City-based Channel Bharat Entertainment Private Limited is all set to launch a satellite TV channel `Imayam' next month. A press release issued by the company said `Imayam' would focus on talk shows and interactive programming and would be positioned as an "'infotainment' channel. They do not hold any rights for movies right now and would not be getting into news though they intend to invite political leaders to their talk show.

R.A. Jebaraj, who has produced software for Tamil satellite channels abroad, is the main promoter. The channel has roped in actress Kousalya and comedian `Vennira Aadai' Moorthy for the talk shows. The promoters seem to be keeping the cards close to their chest hoping to spring a surprise on viewers this Tamil New Years' Day. The channel is slated for an April 13 launch."
