Students protest OBC quotas through blogs - NDTV.com - News on Students protest OBC quotas through blogs: "The recent proposal by the HRD Ministry on reservations for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in centrally-funded universities has revived memories of the Mandal report of 1981. While Anti-Mandal protests took place on the streets, students this time are protesting through SMSes, blogs and emails.
Belonging to some of Delhi's most prestigious universities, the students are planning their next protest against higher reservation quotas in education. Calling themselves as United Students, they are resorting to hi-tech messages to support their cause. Meanwhile, at Jawaharlal Nehru University passionate students argue strongly in favour of reservation."
