Offbeat film

The Hindu : Metro Plus Chennai / Cinema : Offbeat film: " Bala, the man who made stars out of Vikram and Suriya with films like "Sethu", "Nandha" and "Pitamagan", is back after a three-year hiatus. During this period, he was working on the script of "Naan Kadavul", which will have dialogues by famous writer Jayamohan. Last week, Bala launched the movie with Arya and Bhavana in the lead.

P. L. Thenappan will produce this offbeat film within the commercial format. The film will be shot in pilgrim centres like Kasi and Palani. Bala's favourite music director Ilayaraja will provide the music and the buzz in Kollywood is that "Naan Kadavul" will take a critical look at god men and how religion has become big business. "
