Blast suspects linked to terror groups: ATS - NDTV.com - News on Blast suspects linked to terror groups: ATS: "According to the ATS, all three men - Maqbool Ahmed Choudhry, Mohammed Kalaam Ansari and Mohammed Ahmed Shaikh - had links with Nepal Bangladesh and Pakistan and were part of a larger conspiracy behind the attacks.

KP Raghuvanshi, JCP, ATS also informed that they found 1.5 kg of gunpowder from Ansari and Shaikh. Two of them hail from Bihar and the third is from Navi Mumbai. Two of the men arrested are from Bihar's Madhubani district - Mohammed Ansari is a resident of Devdha village while Mohammed Shaikh is from Malmal village.

Ansari, investigators say, has a prior record, as a case was registered against him in Delhi for possessing an AK 47. One accused, Kalam, has told the police that he was trained in Pakistan. The Bihar police have also detained Mohammad Akram from Dangra village in Gaya district in connection with the serial blasts. But Akram claims that he has nothing to do with the Mumbai blasts and that he's a teacher in Mysore.

Emphasis on LeT

The letter mentions terror groups with a special emphasis on the LeT. The letter was brought up in the assembly and released to the media on Friday.

The letter also says:

* The LeT has planned to target market places and public transport systems in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata
* The LeT is targeting the IT industry and a fresh survey needs to be undertaken to identify software industry targets in South India, especially Bangalore
* The LeT is targeting critical infrastructure facilities like power transmission
* Interrogation of LeT activists shows continued interest in targeting Kaiga Nuclear Power Plant, Tungabhadra Dam, Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, hydro power and thermal power stations, power transmission lines between Kaiga to Sirsi and the IOC dumps at Panjim and Mazgaon docks
* Top LeT leaders expect a major jihadi attack in J&K in the month of July in order to make the entire country tense
