Malaysian politician proposes 'shouting therapy' room for onery lawmakers

abc13.com: Bizarre news from KTRK, freaky, strange and unusual: "A Malaysian politician has a solution for putting an end to screaming matches in a state legislature: set up a "shouting therapy" room where they can argue to their heart's content.

"I think there is an urgent need for such a center," Sarawak state's deputy chief minister, Alfred Jabu, was quoted as saying by the national news agency Bernama on Wednesday.

Jabu said opposition lawmakers had degraded proceedings by turning the assembly into a "fish market."

Lawmakers who shout too much should be sent to a separate room where they can yell and scream without disrupting proceedings in the legislature, he said.

"I believe it will increase the efficiency and productivity and certainly the dignity of this assembly, and uphold the good name and civility of Sarawak and our beloved people," said Jabu.

Sarawak is located on Borneo island and is Malaysia's biggest state."
