The Hindu : Life Chennai: "While citizens fretted over traffic jams caused by agitated DMK members who blocked traffic on arterial Anna Salai, even its own leaders had to endure several problems.
To express solidarity with their leaders, hundreds of DMK men stood on Anna Salai near the Gemini flyover not allowing an inch of space for any vehicle to pass. Hapless road users waited in the hot sun, while many of them walked several kilometres along the road till they reached a clear track.
In the crowd, there was one person who unwittingly landed up at the receiving end. The DMK general secretary, K. Anbazhagan, was stuck in the traffic jam on his way to the Anna Arivalayam, the party headquarters.
He finally reached the party office by an autorickshaw. Can we say, caught in the web spun by his own partymen?"
