If you use Notepad a lot, there is an easy and quick way to send a file to it. Just put Notepad in your Sendto menu. Here's how:
Right click the Start menu.
Click Explore.
In Windows Explorer's left pane, expand the Documents and Settings folder (usually on the C: drive).
Click the folder for your user account name.
Click the Sendto folder.
In the right pane, right click and select New, then select Shortcut.
Create a shortcut to Notepad.exe by browsing to the file location in the Create Shortcut Wizard (it should be located in the systemroot folder, usually named WINDOWS, usually on the c: drive).
Now when you right click a file and select Send to, Notepad will show up in the menu.
