Mid-Day Pictures: "Having recently returned from her new home in the US, Kashmira Shah is shocked to see the promos of her latest film Revati, directed by Farogh Sidiqui.
She claims that the producer, Vikas Kaate, has retained scenes of her that were never supposed to be included in the film. The actress is planning to get a stay order against the release of the film.
Kashmira had shot for a backless bathing scene in the film. She trusted the director, who somehow managed to shoot the scene from an angle, showing much more than the actress ever intended to be captured on the camera. What’s more, the scene is being shown in the publicity promos of the film.
Says a livid Shah, “I was in shooting for Bollywood Bride (produced jointly by husband Brad Listermann and Vivek Wadhwa) these last couple of months in the USA. Last week, when I came back and saw the promos, I was aghast. This was not what was shot!”
Talking about the promos, she says, “There is a side shot of me showing my breast, when all I had shot for was a shot of my back without revealing anything. They haven’t even shot with a body double so I don’t even know how and when they shot these pictures. Brad (her husband) will not like it when he hears of it,” she mumbles.
Sidiqui responds to Kashmira’s claims that those scenes have been shot without her permission, saying, “It’s a song sequence where she is singing ‘Bijli se daure’. If she hasn’t shot those scenes, then who has? It’s not possible to shoot such pictures without Kashmira’s consent.”
