NDTV: "The critically-acclaimed crossover film Morning Raga will be vying for the Best Film award at this year's Oscars.
Defying the normal practice of Indian film entries being selected by the Film Federation of India, the film has been entered in the Oscars by its producers Mahesh Dattani and UTV.
The Indian entries are usually sent in for the Best Foreign film catergory.
India's official entry to this year's Oscars in the Best Foreign Film category is the Shahrukh Khan starrer Paheli, which has been directed by Amol Palekar."
