It has been a journey from prescriptions to prose for Sushil K. Chaudhry. The doctor from New Delhi's Maulana Azad Medical College is out with his debut novel, "Thrills, Throbs and Murmurs". The book, which is "neither an autobiography nor a true story", is drawn from life and inspired by the medical profession. His style is humorous but the matter is serious.

In a chat, Chaudhary begins by saying that the aim of the book is to be informational rather than commercial. And so, the book is replete with medical information about pregnancies and adolescence. It deals with gynaecological, paediatric and surgical care, details symptoms, causes and cures of common diseases. "
