Priyadarshini was raped and murdered in 1996, and her alleged assailant Santosh Singh is the son of an IPS officer.
Santosh was acquitted in 1999 and is today a practising lawyer.
It was a similar rally at India Gate on the Jessica case that paved the way for such a movement seeking retrial in Mattoo case."
