Sex, Time and Power

On Point - 12/10/2003: "In his new book, 'Sex, Time and Power,' Leonard Shlain looks at sex and how it shaped human evolution. He comes to the conclusion that language evolved so that men and women could negotiate terms of sex. And an awareness of time led men to become aware of their mortality, leading to the development of families. We look at women's sexuality, and its role in evolution."
