Dream A Dream Charity at Bangalore Marathon

My blogs: Dream A Dream Volunteering: "The Marathon is finally happening in Bangalore. The Lipton Bangalore International Marathon is going to be held on Sunday, 15th May 2005. The format is the same:
The Full Marathon: 42 km
The Half-Marathon: 21 km
The Celebration Run: 7 km

Dream A Dream is participating in the Bangalore Marathon and targets to get atleast 500 people to run for Dream A Dream. The registrations open on Thursday and forms will be available with Dream A Dream. We want each of our volunteers/well-wishers to register and participate in the Marathon. It is the single largest fundraising opportunity for Dream A Dream and its happening in our own city, Bangalore. The registration fee is priced at Rs. 150/-. 60% of the registration fee will come to Dream A Dream and 40% to the Official Charity Partner ICongo (A Conglomerate of Indian Charities).

This apart, people who have registered to run for a charity can also raise pledges. All the pledges raised will come to Dream A Dream. If each of the 500 people running for Dream A Dream raise atleast Rs. 1000/- we are talking about Rs. 5,00,000/- in pledges raised and this is minimum estimates. For each person who raises Rs. 1000/- in pledges, he/she will get a free exclusive Dream A Dream Tshirt before the run.

Please start talking to your friends / colleagues and family and ensure that if they are participating in the Bangalore Marathon to choose Dream A Dream as their charity.

Spread the word! We have less than 4 weeks before the Marathon and we need to ensure atleast 500 registrations from Dream A Dream in the next two weeks. If we are able to raise Rs. 10 Lakhs from the Bangalore Marathon, we will be able to purchase land for the Dream Home Learning Center in the next 3-4 months.
