He introduced DTS sound technology into Kollywood with ‘Kuruthi Punal’. It has become a trend today. Now, he is using another new technology for his new film that has not been used in Tamil films before.
Kamal’s craze for technology is here for all to see again. His latest film ‘Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu’ is to be shot in 35mm format, a wide screen presentation. It is perhaps the first Tamil film to use the technology, though it is widely used in Hollywood.
A major portion of the film was shot in the US including a few song sequences on Kamal and Jyothika. The film is about an Indian International Agent on a criminal path. Manickam Narayanan produces the film on Seventh Channel banner and Gowtham Menon directs it."
